Our story goes back to 1988 when my family moved to Vermont from New York City and opened a Chinese restaurant on Church Street called Mandarin. Back then the economy wasn't what it is today and we had to close down after a number of years. Since then my Mom, Joyce, has stayed in and around the restaurant business. Eighteen years ago, she opened a successful restaurant called Joyce's Noodle House located in Essex Junction, which is still open to this day.  I, myself have been involved with the restaurant business all my life and my plan is to bring the same delicious food from Joyce's to Winooski. A lot has changed since 1988 and Winooski is a food and drink destination now for many people, local and out-of-towners, I felt bringing back the Mandarin was only appropriate!  So, swing by Mandarin and enjoy some delicious Chinese cuisine, great selection local drafts and an amazing line up of cocktails!
